Welcome to Idaho Livestock & Cattle

Idaho Livestock and Cattle is located in beautiful Hayden, Idaho about 90 miles south of the Canadian border. The ranch is surrounded by scenic forestland and picturesque lakes. We specialize in raising top of the line Fullblood and Moderator/Moderator Plus American Aberdeen cattle (Formerly Lowlines).

The Operation started in 2008 when the founder Frank Tomlinson and wife Carma, bought the ranch and a year later purchased 10 head of Fullblood heifers. Frank’s dream was to have a place where his grandchildren could experience the ranching lifestyle and could learn the value of hard work. Frank passed away in August of 2012, however his dream has been carried on by his son, John, and ranch managers, Jay and Diana Lillefloren. The ranch has grown dramatically since its birth. The herd has grown to 50 mother cows in which elite heifer and bull prospects are retained, and a small number are sold every year. Additionally a small number of steers are retained and finished at the ranch. This naturally raised beef is sold private treaty and at the Kootenai County Farmers’ Market during the months of May through October. ILC also attends many shows across the country as well as internationally where we see great successes with our genetics.

We love good cattle that are moderate framed, easy fleshing, high volume, and sound with some eye appeal; and we raise cattle that we like. ILC promises to continue to strive building the kind of genetics that can be successful in both the show ring and out working in real life. We believe in our American Aberdeen Angus cattle and know that they can work in all ranges of operations from the small time producer to large commercial cattle herds. Feel free to visit our operation or contact us at any time, we love showing off our cattle!
